Trauma & EMDR Specialist
Aaron Kimble, LMHC
I graduated with my Masters of Education in Counselor Education in 2022 from Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). My background includes working as a therapist in public elementary schools, community mental health centers, and private practice. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from PFW in 2018 and graduated from New Haven High School. As a member of the LGBTQ+ Community, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone to access quality therapeutic services.
Specializing in Trauma Therapy
My specialty is working with trauma, and I am trained in EMDR. While trauma can often be associated with severe events like war, it also includes more common experiences that feel threatening. This could involve witnessing violence, experiencing sexual assault, or enduring prolonged abuse or neglect. Many of my clients suffer from symptoms such as intrusive thoughts, unwanted memory recall, anxiety, depression, difficulty sleeping, irritability, emotional dysregulation, and low self-esteem. You might think, "My experience was bad, but I wouldn't call it trauma." This is a common sentiment among my clients. If any of this resonates with you, please reach out or schedule an appointment to start your healing journey.

I am part of the Insight Counseling Collective, but run my own private practice called Reflecting Pools Counseling, LLC.

Trauma Focused
I approach therapy from an Adlerian perspective, focusing on how your past may have influenced your present. Being trained in EMDR, we may spend intentional time processing traumatic experiences and work to decrease the frequency/intensity of the memories. Having a holistic approach in mind, I also integrate techniques from other theories, to best meet the unique problem(s) you're facing.
